The Basics of SLS

Image
Space Launch System Hi everyone!!! Today I am discussing the SLS  (Space Launch System) !! Let's take a look at it! Intro The SLS was launched on March 8th, 2022, and is very important to the Artemis program. But, what is the SLS? Well, it is a super heavy-lift vehicle, and did you know that the SLS is more powerful than the Saturn V Rocket (that carried Apollo)? Returning back to the Moon exploration needs a  fast and powerful rocket to conquer the pull of Earth's gravity and set it to its destination. Once, SLS launches on its first flight it will exert a maximum of 8.8 million pounds of thrust, producing more power than any rocket ever built.  Its power and capabilities will send further and farther deep space missions, also it can carry more than 27 metric tons.   Basic Facts  It was manufactured by Aerojet Rocketdyne, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, United Launch Alliance, and NASA.  Its country of origin, of course, is the United States.  This Project cost about $23 billion..
